Currents is a new community-based event, to highlight the wide range of Berlin's vibrant design scene. It premiers September 10 to 12, 2026 in different locations all over town. Various players from the city’s growing design and interior community – furniture brands, product design studios, collectible design galleries, retail, showrooms, individuals and institutions – will take part and turn Berlin in a three day and night showcase catering to public and professional audiences alike.

From exhibitions to workshops, from receptions to talks, from studio visits to interventions this festival is the long-awaited opportunity to explore the dynamic design and interior scene of Berlin, including long nights at the Currents Bar. The event is initiated by the freelance journalists Laura Ewert and Jasmin Jouhar, and funded through participation fees. Currents wouldn't be possible without the brillant work of all the people that make Berlin's design scene one of the most interesting in Europe.
